iNano® Nano Indenter

The iNano® nanoindenter makes it easy to measure thin films, coatings and small amounts of material. The instrument is accurate, flexible, and user-friendly, and can provide multiple nano-level mechanical tests such as indentation, hardness, scratches, and general-purpose nano-level tests. The instrument has a large dynamic load and displacement measurement dynamic range, enabling accurate and repeatable testing from soft polymers to metallic materials. The modular options are suitable for a variety of applications: material property distribution, specific frequency testing, scratch and abrasion, and high temperature testing. iNano offers a full suite of test extension options, including sample heating, continuous stiffness measurement, NanoBlitz 3D / 4D attribute mapping and remote video options.

iNano uses InForce 50 drivers for nanoindentation and general nanomechanical testing. InForce 50's 50mN force load and 50μm displacement range make this system suitable for a variety of tests. InView software is a flexible, modern software package that makes it easy to perform nanoscale tests. iNano is a compact platform with a built-in high-speed InQuest controller and vibration-isolated gantry. The system can test a variety of different materials and devices such as metals, ceramics, composites, films, coatings, polymers, biomaterials and gels.
